Full Job Description

Established family-owned wholesale irrigation and well supply distributor is in search of an Accounts Payable Analyst. The Accounts Payable Analyst oversees all accounts payable administrative functions. This role is responsible to complete payments and assist in controlling expenses by receiving payments, processing, verifying and recording invoices in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the full accounts payable cycle from receipt of invoices to payment
  • Process employee expense reports through Expense Wire
  • Prepare batch check runs, ACH Transactions and wire transfers for Treasury staff
  • Responsible for monthly adjusting journal entries regarding payable transactions
  • Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders
  • Responsible for IRS 1099 compliance and reporting
  • Partner with Director of Finance to identify and implement process improvements
  • Assist in ad hoc projects as needed

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Thorough understanding of the accounts payable cycle and general accounting
  • In-depth knowledge of Expense Wire or other expense management software
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, particularly MS Excel and ERP software (e.g. P21)
  • Analytical in thought process
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to develop and maintain an organized structure
  • Accurate with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience doing account analysis and preparing journal entries

Education and Experience

  • AA/AS in accounting, finance or a relevant field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour
